Gold Coast Wedding Celebrant

The Gold Coast is where I call home, which means I know its beaches, its hinterland, its venues and its traffic on a Saturday morning better than anyone. And I love celebrating weddings here.

Wedding ceremony on the Gold Coast with Ellie

I've been based on the southern Gold Coast for years, and I genuinely think it's one of the most underrated places in the world to get married. Yes, there are the beaches, and they're spectacular. But there's also the hinterland, the waterways, the rooftops with city views, the intimate garden properties tucked behind Burleigh Hill. The Gold Coast contains multitudes, and so do the couples who get married here.

What I love most is that Gold Coast couples don't fit a single mould. I've celebrated ultra-glam ceremonies at Broadbeach venues and barefoot elopements on the sand at Palm Beach in the same month. The common thread isn't the style. It's that every couple wanted something that felt completely, authentically theirs.

"I'm not just your celebrant. I'm the person who's been thinking about your ceremony since the moment you enquired."

That's the approach I bring to every Gold Coast wedding. I'll spend time getting to know you properly, not a quick questionnaire, but a real conversation about your relationship, your people, and what matters most to you on the day. Then I write a ceremony that sounds like you both wrote it yourselves.

From the beach to the hinterland

The Gold Coast spans more than 70 kilometres of coastline and reaches deep into one of Australia's most beautiful hinterlands. A ceremony at Currumbin Valley feels completely different to one at Broadbeach: different light, different atmosphere, different pace. I've celebrated at both ends of the spectrum and everywhere in between.

Being based here also means practicalities are sorted: no travel fees for Gold Coast weddings, no risk of a celebrant running late from out of town, and a genuine familiarity with the venues, the council permit requirements, and the spots that look magical at 4pm in October.

Looking for a specific area? I have dedicated pages for Surfers Paradise, Coolangatta, Currumbin, Mermaid Beach, Southport, Robina and Hope Island. For the green stuff behind the coast: Tallebudgera Valley, Currumbin Valley, and properly up in the mountains, my Gold Coast Hinterland page covers Mt Tamborine, Springbrook and Lower Beechmont.

Ceremony styles on the Gold Coast

Whether you're planning an intimate legal ceremony with just the two of you and a witness, or a full production for 200 guests at a waterfront venue, I've got a ceremony style for you. I also offer bilingual English and Spanish ceremonies, which has become increasingly popular with couples who have family connections to Latin America.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, beach ceremonies on the Gold Coast require a permit from Gold Coast City Council. The process is straightforward, and I can guide you through exactly what's needed for your chosen beach. Popular spots like Burleigh Heads and Palm Beach are well set up for ceremonies, and I know the permit requirements for each.

My pricing depends on the ceremony type, from a simple legal ceremony through to a fully custom production. Because I'm based on the southern Gold Coast, there are no travel fees for Gold Coast weddings. Head to my Prices page for a full breakdown, or get in touch and I'll send you all the details.

It depends entirely on the vibe you're after. Burleigh Heads has a beautiful headland backdrop and a more relaxed feel. Palm Beach is quieter and less commercial. Tallebudgera Creek gives you that stunning sand and water combination without being a surf beach. I'm happy to chat through the options based on your vision and guest numbers.

The Gold Coast has a long wedding season: peak months run from March through November, and popular Saturdays fill up well in advance. I'd recommend getting in touch 12 months ahead if you have a specific date in mind. That said, I do occasionally have availability for shorter lead times, so it's always worth asking.

Absolutely. I regularly celebrate weddings in Byron Bay, the Tweed Coast and the hinterland regions with no travel fee. For Brisbane and further afield, a small travel fee may apply depending on location. Wherever you're getting married, get in touch and we'll work it out.
